Close the Gap

We visited the ‘Close the Gap’ project in Kenya where ‘old’ computers used in businesses in Europe are sent to the schools of Nairobi, so children there have a chance of learning IT.

We spent two days with Francisca Anyango an inspirational Head-Teacher of the ‘Lady of Nazareth Primary School’ situated in the heart of the Mukuru Kwa Njenga slum, considered to be the worst slum in Nairobi.

After the old computers have had their days in the school, the Close the Gap Foundation, strips and recycles the parts. It’s a win-win situation for the children and the environment too.

We were commissioned by National Geographic Channel to make a short two-minute film in their partnership with KLM, who is a sponsor of ‘Close the Gap Foundation’.
